  • Foster Parent(s) Thanks to Ashley & Brandon and Jim & Janine for being great fosters to Socks!

Socks is a sweet girl. She loves to follow her people around and is a big snuggle bug! She does like having a “spot” in the house that is just hers, whether that is her crate, playpen, or bed.

She does well sleeping and napping in the crate, but if you let her sleep in the bed or on the couch she will.

More info about Socks

Other Dogs ▼

Socks lived with her parents and two siblings for 5 months in Texas, mostly outdoors for the last 3 months. Since coming to Colorado she was separated from her siblings and placed in a foster home with other large dogs. She is learning how to be an inside dog and has been stressed in her foster home and shown some resource guarding around people with the resident dogs. Outside she seems much more comfortable and she is doing better and better everyday around other dogs. She is moving to another foster home where she will be the only dog to help her decompress, build confidence and recover from her recent spay.

Cats ▼

Socks has not been around cats.

Children ▼

Socks lived in a home with kids 8 and older.

Leash ▼

Socks is learning what a leash is! We believe she had never been exposed to the leash before coming to Colorado. She loves to go on walks, but when she sees something or someone she is unsure of, she freezes. With consistency, she has the potential to be very good on the leash! With that being said, she's doesn't pull on a leash and will go in the general direction you're walking at a pace that matches your own.

Where I'm from ▼

Socks came to us from a farm in Texas. She was with her parents and 2 siblings. Socks is adjusting to Colorado, and the world is big and new to her. She is very curious about everything! She loves when someone is patient with her and lets her become confident on her own.

We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who love dogs and work to find homes for Labs and Lab Mixes in need.
