Quinn has a very sweet personality and would be happy to be your lap dog if you let her! She has met a few neighboring adults so far and has not shown any shyness or intimidation of meeting new people. She loves to go for car rides and for walks. Roaming around our backyard is also a favorite activity so far. She plays with her foster brother and also plays independently with a ball, Kong or squeaky toy. She is also happy to lay down and take a nap after a walk or playtime. We understand that she is crate trained, however have not used a crate so far that she has been with us. She has only played with dog toys and has shown no interest in shoes or other items left on the floor.
She would do best with an active family who is able to provide exercise and a stimulating environment that she craves.
More info about Quinn
Other Dogs ▼
She is settling in nicely at home with current resident foster brother. They are playing well together and taking cues from each other appropriately.
Cats ▼
Unknown, we have no cats in the home
Children ▼
Although we have no children at home, there were young children in the home she came from. A three-year-old and a six-year-old. She did very well with them.
Leash ▼
When walking with the resident dog, she pulls quite a bit and insists on being in front. When walking alone, she tends to be more at ease and walks by my side for the most part. She is very curious and sniffs all things she encounters. At this point walks are more about cataloguing all of the new Colorado smells versus a fast pace. We have encountered bicycles and runners with no issue. When walking across the street from other dogs, she pops her head up to see them, but does not react.
Where I'm from ▼
Quinn is an owner surrender. She was taken in by a family member in Utah when her family in West Virginia hit hard times. She was loved and well cared for. When her family in UT was not able to keep her either, her original owner reached out to RMLR to find a good placement for her.
