Joseph is a sweet young Lab mix with a big heart and an adventurous spirit. He loves being close to his people, hitting the trails for a good hike, and showing off his puzzle-solving skills (he’s already mastered level 2!). He walks nicely on a leash and knows a few basic commands — with plenty of enthusiasm to keep learning.
Playful, curious, and full of love, Joseph is the perfect companion for anyone who enjoys a balance of outdoor adventures and cozy cuddles.
More info about Joseph
Other Dogs ▼
He’s very curious and interested in other dogs. He often wants to say hello but can be a bit shy at first and may bark during introductions. He does best with slow, calm introductions.
Cats ▼
Unknown – he hasn’t been around cats in her foster home.
Children ▼
He hasn’t been around small children yet, but he’s very people-friendly, affectionate, and eager to connect.
Leash ▼
He walks well on a leash and doesn’t pull. He’s still learning and getting better with each walk.
Where I'm from ▼
Joseph came to Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue all the way from Joplin, Missouri. From the moment he arrived at the Joplin Humane Society, he’s been surrounded by kind and caring people who helped him every step of the way — from his first days in the shelter to transport and finally to Colorado. Joseph is grateful to everyone who made his rescue possible. He’s already fallen in love with his new Colorado life and did amazing on his very first hike. This sweet and energetic boy is ready to keep exploring, learning, and sharing his big heart with his future family.
