  • Foster Parent(s) Thanks to Alana & Bryan for being great fosters to Banks!

At home Banks is very, very snuggly, but also likes his own space to chill. He plays around with chew toys and puts them in a pile, but is overall very gentle so far. His playful side is just starting to come out. He loves belly rubs, that’s when he’s at his silliest. Occasionally he’ll bring a slipper or sock, but hasn’t destroyed anything anything and isn’t protective of toys or food. He’ll let us take something out of his mouth with no trouble.

Banks is getting used to city life and can be fearful of new situations. He’s very watchful. Sounds will startle him a bit too. Although he doesn’t know any commands yet he seems to understand when he’s doing something he’s not supposed to like paws on the counter or digging in a plant and quickly stops what he’s doing for the most part when asked.

He’s typically very food motivated and was quick to solve a treat puzzle with limited instructions. He’s been very engaged by licks mats and kongs too.

More info about Banks

Other Dogs ▼

Banks is currently doing great in a foster home with 2 small dogs. He's excited to meet other dogs and is very playful, showing proper dog play manners.

Cats ▼

Sorry, we don't have that information on Banks yet.

Children ▼

He met a toddler and did great so far.

Leash ▼

We're getting started on the concept of what it means to be on the leash and being comfortable outside in new situations. No pulling yet.

Where I'm from ▼

Banks was pulled from a shelter in Arkansas by a rescue partner. He is now in a foster home in Colorado.

We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who love dogs and work to find homes for Labs and Lab Mixes in need.
