Bridgette is a beautiful 5-6 year-old black lab mix who is finally getting the fresh start she’s been waiting for.

After over a year in a rescue in Oklahoma, Bridgette has transitioned into foster care and has quickly reminded everyone that she was meant to be part of a family. She has settled into home life with ease, is house-trained with regular access outside, sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, rides wonderfully in the car, and is learning her household manners every day.

Bridgette is everything people love about Labradors—happy, affectionate, curious, and always ready to investigate the world with her nose! She loves meeting people, enjoys attention, and has a wonderfully goofy, wiggly personality that will keep you smiling. She walks nicely on leash, is learning impulse control and basic obedience, and is eager to continue learning with a family that will provide consistency and guidance.

She has done well living with multiple dogs of all sizes and has also been fostered successfully with cats. Bridgette appreciates clear boundaries around high-value items like food and squeaky toys around other dogs. With simple management and continued training, she has already made excellent progress and continues to become more relaxed and confident every day.

Bridgette has also handled public outings with impressive confidence, taking busy crowds, loud noises, and new environments in stride while happily taking in all the exciting sights and smells around her.
