Melody is a very happy and cuddly dog!!! She’s always interested in whatever you’re doing and loves to give kisses. She has big brown eyes and stares into your eyes. She encourages belly rubs and wants to be wherever you are. She is highly food motivated and will be easy to train if treats are involved. She knows “sit”, but we haven’t found any other commands that she knows. Melody sleeps through the night and she is well potty-trained. After a couple of days she is now more confident in our home and can spend some time by herself. She is not destructive in the house and only plays with her dog toys.

She does great with our senior dog. They get along very well! She seems interested in other dogs but as we just got her, we have not introduced her any dogs other than our own. We will update her bio when we have more information.

Leash ▼
Melody walks successfully on a leash with a bit of pulling and she will need some additional training. She enjoy her walks and sniffing very much!!!
Where I'm from ▼
Melody came to us from a shelter in Arkansas where she has been for about a year. It seems evident that she lived with a family at some point because she is potty-trained and seems well behaved in our home and knows how to go up and down stairs. Melody is heartworm positive and will begin her 4-month schedule shortly. She is available for adoption during this time and the cost of treatment will be covered by Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue. You must commit to completing the full course of her treatment including all exercise and activity restrictions.
