  • Foster Parent(s) Thanks to Linda for being a great foster to Polly!

Polly has been with me for almost a year now and is doing great!! She is so sweet and easy to care for. She does not get on the furniture. She loves her walks every morning and then just lounges around the house or on the back patio. She sleeps on her own bed in my room and then gets me up in the morning for breakfast! Polly is reactive to other dogs in her yard, but is fine on the leash when meeting other dogs away from the house. She seems fine with older children that have come over to meet her. She greets them, lets them pet her and then just walks off. She will need a quiet home just to enjoy life!! She has shown protective behavior towards men coming to the house but if I leash her she calms down. As Polly is protective of her space and family, so would do best as an only dog in a quiet home.

Thanks to Wag Your Tail Photography for taking photos of friendly Polly!

More info about Paloma

Other Dogs ▼

Polly needs to be the only dog in the home. She has barked and growled when other dogs come into her home and yard. She has been safely crated when other dogs visit with success, and met other dogs on leash in neutral locations. She is deaf.

Cats ▼

To be determined.

Children ▼

Older children would be best that are respectful of dogs and give them space. Young children make Polly anxious and fearful. An adult only home would likely be Polly’s dream home, so she can relax and soak up all the attention.

Leash ▼

Pulls, but is good with a gentle lead.

Where I'm from ▼

She was returned to RMLR.

We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who love dogs and work to find homes for Labs and Lab Mixes in need.
