Max is a 1-year-old neutered male Labrador Retriever currently residing at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley.

Max has been at our shelter since on and off since February 10th, 2023. Max has a lot of energy and an exuberant play style. He gets along with most dogs as long as they can keep up and tolerate his energy. Max also has a history of some separation anxiety. We’ve attached his medical history. Long-term confinement in a shelter environment is stressful so we are in the process of identifying other options for Max in order to reduce the risk of behavioral deterioration and to increase chances of being adopted.  We appreciate the opportunity to work collaboratively with you in an effort to save more lives.

Max is currently available for adoption at HSBV and not at risk for euthanasia at this time.

The Behavior and Health team can provide more information if needed; the best way to reach a staff member is to e-mail health.behavior@boulderhumane.org or call 303-442-4030, extension 657.

We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who love dogs and work to find homes for Labs and Lab Mixes in need.
