Kemah is an incredibly sweet dog who has been a constant companion to me for 7 years. We
named her after Kemah, TX (if you have not been there, it is a beautiful spot on the Texas
Coast near Galveston!)

However, we are now trying to find a new home for her. My family dynamic has changed quite
a bit in the past 2 years, and we are finding that with our busy lifestyle (4 kids and 2 other
dogs) Kemah is not thriving. She deals with anxiety and likely would be much more
comfortable in a “single dog / no kids household”. I spent a year living alone, working from home 2 days a week, and that was the best year of her life. Even the days that I had to go into work, she would hang out at home all day and then I would come home at night and take her
for a walk, and she was happy as a clam.
She is about 7 years old, spayed, and up to date on all vax (just got that done a couple of
months ago). She is a Lab / Sharpei / Corgi mix and super cute. See below pics!

She does deal with occasional incontinence, so she is on Proin bladder pills, and it is well
controlled. She has a touch of arthritis in her back right leg due to a very active upbringing
when she and I used to run all the time. She loves “having a job”, going for walks, solving
puzzles, etc. She is on Fluoxetine for her anxiety, but I honestly think the Fluox could stop if she were in a home that was a little more laid back and relaxed.

I am hoping that we can find a home for her where she can be a blessing to a family like she
has been for me and find herself thriving again.
