  • Size 50lbs
  • Fixed Yes
  • House Trained Yes
  • Foster Parent(s) Thanks to Zahra & Brad for being great fosters to Feta!!

After being returned, Feta spent some time in a board and training receiving daily training sessions using positive reinforcement. The staff have really fallen in love with her and describe her as an incredibly sweet young lady who is eager to please. She loves to learn new things and give affection. She is incredibly smart, and will always sit beautifully for a piece of cheese! Feta needs a family who will be respectful of her need for space and giving her a choice to seek out human affection. After slow introductions, it doesn’t take long for Feta to let you into her trust circle, provided she gets to make the choice for herself. Feta is sensitive to touch, and has learned a super fun game to play, to let you know she is okay to be touched. Feta is sound sensitive, and tries to put distance between her and any sound she is concerned about. Feta is incredibly easy to fall in love with! Feta is now in a RMLR foster home, so standby for updates on how well she is doing.

More info about Feta

Other Dogs ▼

Feta would do best in a home where she will be the only dog, or a home with another dog that prefers to sunbathe, rather than play. Feta is the mosey around and co-exist type, not the romp and roll kind of girl!

Cats ▼

Feta will try and play with cats, so likely not a fit for older cats that just want their space.

Children ▼

Older kids that can respect her boundaries.

Leash ▼

When I was able to take Feta out on a walk, she was a dream to walk on leash. She saw other dogs, humans, and bikes, and showed no reactivity. The only time she pulled a little, was when she heard a strange noise and wanted to move in the opposite direction.

Where I'm from ▼

Feta came to RMLR in 2022 and was adopted. She was recently returned to us because she was not adjusting well to the long hours left alone in an apartment.

We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who love dogs and work to find homes for Labs and Lab Mixes in need.
