Chico is incredibly sweet and loves to be with his people and get attention. He does have some older dog aches and pains so would do best in a home with very few stairs.
Chico is looking for an adopter or Forever Foster (RMLR maintains ownership and responsibility for vet care) to love on him for whatever time he has left.

Chico would likely love to be the centre of attention and be the only dog. He mostly ignores other dogs his size. Chico would not do well with a young rambunctious dog or small dog in the home.

Chico wants a quiet space, only gentle pets and a predictable/low key life. A home with teens or adults only would be best.

Chico loves walks but gets tired and sore if he goes more than a few blocks. Once he looses some weight, he should be more mobile.

Chico found himself at a shelter in Pueblo after his owner died. He is looking for a quiet place to enjoy his senior years. Soon after he came to RMLR it was obvious that Chico was in pain as getting in and out of the car, up stairs or being moved made him grumpy. We visited one of our vets for a workup and started on some meds and supplements to help him be more comfortable.
