Other Dogs ▼
Carter has done well with other dogs of various sizes and would also be happy as an only dog. Carter has done well with female dogs. He is being returned to us for not getting along with a male dog of a similar size that is very anxious in Carter's presence. Where I'm from ▼
Carter was adopted from RMLR in 2015. He was recently found as a stray and RMLR has been unable to reach his owners. He spent a week at a Colorado shelter on stray hold and no one has come for him. Carter was adopted soon after he returned to RMLR as his story really spoke to his adopters. His new family helped Carter through surgery to remove a lump on his leg and started thyroid medication. Carter was loved and has started to feel much healthier. Unfortunately, Carter and the resident service dog are not getting along and he is returning to us.
