- Foster Parent(s) Kelly for being a great foster to Angela!
I was an unchipped and wandering ‘Girl-About-Town’ in Houston, TX before being picked up and having to spend time in the pokey. There, they nicknamed me ‘Angela’ (My Foster Mom says it’s because I am obviously an angel). I actually answer to ‘Sweet.’
The awesome intake volunteers at RMLR decided I was worth saving and brought me into the program, so I began my trek to Colorado…
Safely in foster care, I am working through my heartworm protocol treatment as I am introduced to new experiences. I am not a tripping hazard with the elderly – as I pretty much stay out of the way. I am very respectful in the house together or alone and well-behaved with visitors. Somewhere along the lines, I was obviously a family pet and I am appreciative of every ounce of love in remembrance of a once-former lifestyle.

Other Dogs ▼
Angela did great in a foster home in Texas with the small resident dog. She isn't much into playing and likes to keep to herself. She isn't ruffled by other high energy dogs.
We have learned that Angela is gentle with new babies on the floor, and very patient with toddlers.
Angela loves to be outside and going on walks. Her tail wags the whole time. She does great on leash and is friendly to other dogs and people.
Where I'm from ▼
Angela is from Houston Texas and was picked up as a stray. She is heartworm positive and has started treatment with a vet in Lafayette. She must continue her treatment appointments (2 remaining) with them. Angela will need to have exercise restrictions for the next 2-3 months. She needs to lose some weight and has started on a diet. Since she is displaying some symptoms of heartworm, her vet is recommending she be spayed after she has completed treatment. She will need an owner that is committed to keeping her away from unaltered dogs.
