Doogan

I hope that you are doing well.  It has been busy, but a couple of weeks ago, when we had the 70 degree wknd, I had a Sun afternoon off and it was spectacular!

My husband (David) and I took Walter (formerly Doogan) on a gorgeous hike along Gregory Trail in Boulder.  Here is a picture of the 3 of us.  WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE WALTER AND ALL OF THE HAPPINESS AND LOVE HE BRINGS TO OUR LITTLE FAMILY!

I apologize that it has taken so long to send you a picture!  I hope that you are doing well and ready for the holidays :O)

Bo

We adopted Bo almost 4 months now and I must say he is loving life. he has become one happy fun loving dog! He loves running around playing with his new sister Bear (Our Chocolate) and getting into all kinds of good mischief with her and our other kids. We had some issues to start off i.e. didn't like hardwood floors, small spaces like hallways, growled at his food bowl with no one around (that was really funny BTW), and stairs. Other than that things were a pretty easy adjustment for him and Bear plus a ball helped a lot with his issues which he no longer has. After about 3 months we started him on the radio collar (about 3 weeks ago) and it has been a huge success in case any on the board were wondering, he is very smart and we have a great program for training. He loves being able to run around at will on the 2 acres we have for a yard and we know that he and his sister stay safe as well as giving him all the freedom he needs. He is a great dog and definitely is a big part of our family now. We are very fortunate that he came into our lives.

Thank you again

Winchester

Thought you would enjoy a photo of our Hank.  He is a maniac...very well meaning and mostly well behaved....but a maniac just the same.  He came to
us as Winchester and after about four months is settled in quite nicely.

We have had some very serious health issues with the boy but they are almost entirely behind us at this point.  He is almost back to his full physical self again. With the prednizone? down to once every three days and
the acupuncture down to once every three weeks he has regained the use of his back legs to the point where most would never notice anything was ever wrong.  We are actually expecting that he will recover fully!  Hard to
believe after seeing him unable to use his hind quarters two months ago.

In addition to being a very handsome boy he was also one of the most physically acute animals I had ever seen when we got him from you guys.  I can't tell you how happy we are that he is regaining that extraordinary physical presence.

Thanks, we love him dearly!!!

Winston

Dear All at Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue,

We wanted to thank you for letting us adopt Winston, a beautiful chocolate 100 lb boy, from you about 3 weeks ago.
He has been so sweet and loving for our family.  He is now friends with our other two dogs, Corona (yellow lab) and Salto (black lab/shepherd).  Winston and Salto love to play together all the time.
We are attaching a photo of our completed family so you can see all of us together.  Winston is doing well and fits perfectly on our couch.
Thanks again for all your work.
We are so happy to have Winston with us.

Claire

FROM THE NEW FAMILY: Here are a few photos of Anna and Zach with Lottie -- named after Lottie Moon's, a pub in Oxford, Ohio, where my husband and I met at Miami University.

She is such a great dog and we all just love her! Except for the cat, who needs a little more time to get to know her. I think they will be fine once the curiosity phase is over.

Thanks again for finding her for us, and for all that you and your volunteers do! I would love to volunteer down the road... Maybe once we are past the puppy stage and when Zach goes to school full time.

If you are ever in need of "emergency" help, please let me know. Especially since we are so close to your drop-off location at Tower Road. I'd be happy to transport or hold a dog to be picked up...

Thanks again!

Brinkley

FROM THE NEW FAMILY: Just wanted to give you an update...

Brink is perfect; he is at my feet now and snoring happily!  We had a great three days (except for the huge hiccup).
We went fishing in the boat a couple times and he went for a swim on both. The first time was not intentional as he just stepped into the water. I think it was his first time in water. He sunk for a split second then swam over to the platform he stepped off of and I helped him back in.  Today we went for a hike down the river and through the bush. This was his favorite.  He had a great time but never really understood that we were fishing. In fact, the only fish that I caught... Brink let go.  When I was trying to show him the fish he broke right through the line and off the fish swam (he never even realized it was there).  J  That’s all good tho, I don’t really fish to bring them home.
I don’t think he will be a big hunter either, but I could be wrong. He doesn't have to hunt to be my friend.  I think he is starting to realize that this is / we are his home.  His cough has gotten much better and he seems to have a better appetite today. He was also much more energetic today.

Feel free to call or stop by anytime.

Snickers

 Hi there-

We adopted Snickers in June and just wanted to let you know he has been a blessing to us.  He is perfect in every way.  We love and adore him so much.  What a great dog!!!!  He loves his daily walks to the open field where he absolutely loves to play with his frisbee.  He loves going with us to the park and since my husband is deployed Snickers seems to take his place by helping me keep and eye on two kids.  I can not even begin to thank you enough for the opportunity to bring him into our home and become a part of our family.  We kind of feel like he was the missing link that we were looking for.  No matter where we go or what we do Snickers is a part of our lives and will be with us forever.  Thank you thank you thank you!
