Samantha

Samantha is a beautiful yellow lab girl that came to RMLR through a CARE transport across the midwest. She wasn't with RMLR very long - just a couple days - before she found a great family in Lyons.

FROM THE NEW FAMILY: I wanted to send a picture of Samantha who is renamed Lucy. As you can see she fits in well with her big sister lilly our black lab. Lucy is amazing. Not only do we love her, all of our neighbors fight to give her treats.  Thank you for rescuing such amazing labs who change our lives!

Maid Marian

Maid Marian came to RMLR with her brother Robin Hood from Dallas, TX. She was quickly adopted and renamed Aspen. Here is an update from the new adopter!

Thanks to all of you for allowing Aspen to become part of our family. We have had so much fun with her the past couple days and look forward to all that is yet to come. I have attached a picture of her and a new playmate, Jewel (Aspen was completely tuckered out from a day of play). They became friends very quickly and absolutely love to chase each other in the backyard.

Sherman

A story from the new adopters:
My son and I too Sherman and Keb to the East Boulder dog swimming park.   Sherman went dashing in after his tennis ball and was by far the splashiest, awkward, dog paddling pooch out there.  We laughed hysterically, but after about 10 minutes he was much better and after 20 minutes he was just fine.  So, we think it's probably the first time he really swam.
He had no concerns about looking goofy--he had a blast and kept running in and out and swimming happily. There were probably 25 or 30 dogs there and he ran and swam with all of them.

Rufus

Rufus came to RMLR, with his brother Rocket, from Helping Kands in Kansas. He's been adopted, along with Rain - see below, by a great family in Dillon, CO. The two get to be best buds for life!

Both Rufus and Rain are doing really well! They are wonderful additions to our family and we can't imagine life without them! They get up really early in the morning and love to go, go, go all day! They love exploring on the hikes we take and going on a walk to pick up our girls after school. They are still a bit jealous of each other, but that's just because they both want a lot of attention and know how to get it! They are sweet babies! Rain loves to eat the ice off our deck and Rufus loves to play catch! Thank you so much! We love our handsome boys!

Rain

Aww Rain, what a cute smile! Rain came to RMLR from a shelter in the midwest. He was transported to Colorado by a group called C.A.R.E. that transports dogs and cats from Kansas and Missouri to rescue groups in Colorado. He was a 14 week old black lab mix boy. He's been adopted by a great family in Dillon, CO.

George

George came to RMLR from Witchita, KS where he was found as a stray. He was tossed around for awhile in Kansas because no rescue group would take a mix breed dog. He's only a year old and has had a tumultuous life so far. He's a very sweet boy and we at RMLR just fell in love with him. He's been adopted by a sweet couple in Westminster, CO.

 Brownie

Brownie came to RMLR from Lancaster, SC. She and a few other young dogs several dedicated volunteer hours to rescue from a nasty gassing shelter in South Carolina. This shelter puts down more than 5,000 dogs a year. Thankfully we were able to save a few. She's been adopted by a nice lady and we can't wait to get more of an update as she grows up.

Duchess

Duchess came to RMLR from a shelter in Kansas. She's very friendly. When she came to RMLR she was tested as hearthworm positive so we immediately put her on medication and treatment for that. She's doing very well now - and she's been adopted! We can't wait to hear an update about this beautiful girl!
