Izzy

|
FROM THE NEW FAMILY: I just wanted to give you guys an update on Izzy, whom I have renamed Lucy. She is a great dog and just needed some attention and exercise. Those pictures are from a 4 mile hike we did yesterday. She did great keeping up and listening, but there is still some work to do. She has won over every one at my complex dog run, everyone loves her and she gets along great with the other dogs. She hasn't chewed one piece of furniture and waits patiently for me to come home from work. She is also very patient with my cats, who are starting to warm up to her. (at least the hissing has in post part stopped). Thanks again for finding her for me and I will keep you updated.

Jackson

|
FROM THE NEW FAMILY: Here are a few pictures of Jackson in his new home. We have re-named him Fletcher and he fit in as a part of our family from day one. We absolutely love him and are having so much fun. He loves playing in the snow, playing fetch, going for walks and runs. He has a big dog from across the street who comes to play and he and our chihuahua mix have become fast friends. He is so sweet and well behaved and brings so much joy to this family. Thank you for everything! |

|
Livey came to RMLR from Western Oklahoma. She's been adopted by a great family in Parker, CO.
FROM THE NEW FAMILY: I just wanted to send a quick note to the volunteers that we just adore Livey, who we adopted a couple of weeks ago. My 3 kids and her new foster brother, Maverick (5 year old black lab), all adore her, although occasionally poor sweet Maverick (who lets Livey walk all over him, literally!) wishes for a little quiet time!
We are so happy we found her and so happy that you all put in the time and love to do what you do for the dogs. I will send some pictures of her soon so you can see Livey with her new family!

|
Asher came to RMLR via CARE transport with several other brothers and sisters. He was adopted by a fun couple in Boulder, CO and renamed Leo.
FROM LEO
Leo Peers here. I am doing quite well - but we need to talk about my humans. They need better training. They are learning - but they don't leave food on the counters nearly often enough. And the garbage cans are all out of reach now. And I'm always hungry - I only get elk steak once a week or so. And one of my humans tries to "work" from home rather than rub my tummy. And I barely ever get outside - I only get exercise 3-4 times per day. Please tell them that we really ought to spend more time in the mountains - the weekends are nice, but a dog needs to go skiing more than 2 days a week. But other than that, I think my humans are acceptable.
I still do sleep a lot - especially if I'm wet or muddy - that's when my favorite spot is on my human's bed or the couch. I really enjoyed my obedience class because I got fed every 20 seconds. But sometimes other dogs would get food instead of me! Not fair!
I like it when I go running or hiking - especially with my friend Tea. I've been cross country and skate-skiing several times, mountain snow-biking with my human in February (what was he thinking?), and I go rock climbing with my humans too. I learned how to swim 2 weeks ago. Apparently I am also the talk of the town on this thing called "facebook".
Thank you for rescuing me. I've enclosed a few pictures of yours truly so that you can recognize me on the trails. - Leo

Gus

|
Gus came to RMLR from North Platte, NE. He was a great fella! He's been adopted by a great family in Boulder, CO and renamed Duncan!
FROM THE NEW FAMILY
Hi there, i am so happy to hear from you.
We are doing very well. I haven't had time to do any official training for "Gus" --- my son renamed him Duncan and he liked it and responds to the new name----but he is starting to learn some manners and is sweet as can be. We LOVE him. We are getting married in July and will soon have a big yard and Duncan will always be with his buddy Axle (the Pug-- my husbands dog who misses his Rotty buddy who died at 14 last year). Duncan is friendly with every dog and almost every person he meets. He has some anxiety but it is getting less and less all the time.
we are very blessed to have him in our lives...here are some pictures of his new life....
thanks always.

Pal
 |
Pal came to RMLR from the Pawnee Humane Society in Kansas. When he got to his foster home he quickly learned that humans actually wanted to love him and not hurt him. He was very timid at first, just not understand that a normal family really would want to love such a sweet boy like himself. He has been adopted by a sweet family in Louisville, CO and we can't wait to see pictures of him enjoying the snow this winter! |
